The (cough..Macca.cough) Fireman release a new single

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Wow. Just when I thought that McCartney’s creative well was running dry he put’s out something like this. The track harkens back to “Why don’t we do it in the road” and “Helter Skelter” get-your-bluesy-freak-on-I-can-be-as-progressive-as-Lennon era McCartney. Very psyched to check out this new release by “The Fireman.” It’s out Nov 3rd I believe.

A real plan.

I believe this is my first political post since I started this site several years ago. I really feel that everyone should step up the dialogue in these remaining days of the campaign season because there’s too much at stake at this very crucial moment in our nation’s history. As all of us are aware, our economy is circling the toilet bowl and I think it seems apparent (hopefully) to both Republicans and Democrats that we need some real fundamental change. I think the plan that Obama’s outlines in the video above offers a clear and realistic strategy to handle the current crisis. For this and many other reasons I think Obama is the clear choice for our next president.

This caught me off guard. I had no idea that he was battling cancer. I’m glad Pink Floyd was able to get together one last time at the Live 8 fest (even if the performance wasn’t that good). I’m sure there will be statements from the Gilmour and Waters camp at some point today. Shine on Rick.
