I played a house party with Mexican Gunfight this past weekend at my old friend Peter Bach’s house. First of all I haven’t played a house party in ages (I had a total blast) second, I got to play with Pete who is a great guitarist and vocalist in his own right. This is a cover of the Jackie Green song “Mexican Girl” which we take our liberties with (the song that is).

As you may have heard, guitar slinger Joe Satriani is suing Coldplay declaring that their mega monster hit “Viva La Vida” is a copy of his song “If I Could Fly.” I found this awesome comparison of the two songs on Youtube - what do you think? Heck, if George Harrison can be sued for My Sweet Lord, or Ray Parker Jr. for the Ghostbusters theme song, Joe should be a shoe-in to collect damages.
